The Agnibaan rocket is a flexible, two-stage launch vehicle capable of carrying up to 300 kg of payload to orbits nearly 700 km high. AgniKul made history by becoming the first Indian company to sign an agreement with ISRO in December 2020 under the IN-SPACe initiative, giving them unprecedented access to ISRO’s expertise and state-of-the-art facilities.

ISRO chairman Dr. S Somanath praised the launch, saying it motivates ISRO to continue supporting space startups and non-governmental entities, driving innovation and self-reliance to build a vibrant space ecosystem in the country.
